Men's Mackinaw Wool Vest Forest Green
This pillar of our collection offers heat with a minimum size, ensuring excellent breathability, even wet. Perfect during hunting, for a mix of heat and breathability at rigid temperatures. Also ideal under a waterproof. Under a Lana Filson coat adds that more welcome touch of comfort to particularly rigid temperatures.
The Mackinaw wool vest is made with the same used for our Cruiser, which for over a century has protected from cold and humidity. Coming from the fleece of sheep bred in the north-western Pacific, our Mackinaw wool is naturally suitable for protecting from wet and rigid climate. Its particularly narrow plot forms a formidable barrier against the wind and resists decades of intense use. Thanks to the complex structure of the Mackinaw wool fibers, it also offers the unexpected advantage of the extreme ease of maintenance. Dry dirt brush it very easily without leaving any trace. To eliminate smells, usually just put the Mackinaw wool vest in a hot dryer.

Filson - Excellent quality for over 120 years
Born in 1850, c.c.filson inherited the pioneering spirit of the Father and the love for the open air. After living in Nebraska and traveling throughout the country as a railway worker, he moved to the town of Seattle, Washington around 1890.
Filson could not have chosen a better timing. In 1897 he began the great golden race of Klondike and thousands of people on the hunt for luck were poured into Seattle, headed to the north. Armed with a great sense of work, a reputation of honesty and long years of experience in dressing colonists and gold seekers of the North-West Pacific, C.C.Filson was ready to become famous. Here's what he said in our 1914 catalog:
"To our customers: if a man is directed to the North, he should go to us for his clothing, because we have learned what is better to wear in that country from the experience of a northern man - and not just one - but hundreds. Our materials are the best available, aware that the best is the result of constant research and that quality is vital. You can absolutely count on our products both as regards the materials and the processing.
